This Labor Day weekend, play a round of golf and donate to a worthy cause. The golf courses of Miami-Dade County Parks will hold a fundraiser and collect donations for the Folds of Honor Foundation. Your monetary gift will fund scholarships and assistance for spouses and children of those killed or disabled in service to America.
For every 20 donations received, Golf Miami-Dade will give away a round of golf!
Here’s how it works:
- Donate at a participating golf course: Briar Bay, Country Club of Miami, Crandon, Greynolds, or Palmetto.
- Fill out an entry card with your donation.
- Each day, one entry card will be randomly drawn for every 20 entries received.
- Randomly drawn winners will be notified on Tuesday, September 2nd to claim their voucher for a free round of golf.

The golf courses of Miami-Dade County, including Briar Bay Golf Course, Country Club of Miami, Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne, Greynolds Golf Course, and Palmetto Golf Course, will be giving away one round of golf for every 20 donations received (hence referred to at “the giveaway”) for the Folds of Honor Foundation during Patriot Golf Day (the fundraising period of Friday, August 29, 2014 through Monday, September 1, 2014.) In exchange for a minimum donation of $1, the person making the donation will receive an entry card for the giveaway. Odds of winning are based upon the total number of donations received, not the amount donated. Donations must be received between 8/29/2014 through 9/1/2014 in order to be eligible for the giveaway. One entry card may be submitted with each donation. Entry cards must be filled out by the person making the donation. Electronically or digitally reproduced entry cards will not be accepted. Entry cards must be printed legibly and include the full name, phone number, and email address of the person making the donation. Every reasonable attempt will be made to contact via email or phone the persons listed on the randomly drawn entry cards, but illegible entry cards will be discarded. Each day at each participating golf course, after the golf shop has closed for business, the donations and entry cards will be counted and placed into an envelope. One entry card for every 20 entry cards received will be drawn at random by the head golf professional or his/her designee. Any entry cards drawn which are illegible or incomplete will be discarded and a subsequent entry card will be drawn at random to replace the illegible entry card. A list of randomly drawn entry cards will be published on this web page. Winners will be notified on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 that their entry card was drawn and a voucher for a free round of golf is available to them. The vouchers may be claimed in person from the golf shop where the entry card was drawn. Vouchers will be valid for one free round of golf, including green fee and cart rental fee, redeemable anytime. Vouchers are non-transferable and may only be claimed by the person named on the randomly drawn entry card. Vouchers will expire on 12/31/2014. Any unclaimed vouchers will be discarded. Donations received (the “proceeds”) during the fundraising period will be delivered to the Folds of Honor Foundation, using the “Patriot Golf Day Fundraising Report Form” as provided by the Folds of Honor Foundation. Persons making a donation may receive a receipt for tax purposes if they provided their full name and mailing address at the time of donation, which will subsequently be delivered to the Folds of Honor Foundation with the total amount collected during the fundraising period.
